Great experience purchasing a boat. Owner, Charles, was very personable and a pleasure to work with. The salesman were great also. Great prices on their boats. Happy to support a hometown business.
This store has a wide variety of fishing, hunting, grilling, and boating items. As with many other stores, the boat inventory was small because of the supply chain/worker shortages. There are still a few boats there to look at. Nice place to shop. Large open building. Stop by and give them some business.
Let me start off by saying if you live within 250 miles of Perry and don’t come here to buy your boat, you’re wasting your time. Scott and Mark made buying my first bass boat a breeze. Called in, told Scott what I wanted, filled out a credit app and within 3 hours I was putting a deposit down. Made the two and a half hour ride up this morning and while both of those guys were off, Austin jumped right in and had us out of there in a half hour. Hopefully I won’t have to buy another boat anytime soon, but if I do I know where I’m going.

Matt, the gun guy, is the best supervisor the gun department has ever had at this location. Prior supervisors here made buying a chore, dramatic and stressful. They received a one star from me. But Matt is the new sheriff in town and he has good common sense and he knows guns. They aren’t the cheapest, but the have a good inventory for Perry. And Perry is a nice town, with the lowest crime rate in Georgia (or thereabouts). I give you trivia sometimes. Good solid place to do business.
I purchased a Yamaha Outboard 40 hp. To install on my Carolina Skiff. In 2 days they had me ready to roll. The staff was very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend The Sports Center .
Highly recommend this store for guns and ammo and boats. If you are looking for a boat ask for Austin. Great person to work with.
Fishing tackle very low, looked like they were cutting back on inventory and variety, drove up from Albany, very disappointed.
